MORTGAGE IN TURKEY

The following documents are required by foreign nationals applying for a mortgage in Turkey:

• Passport, copy of it and translated by notary public
• Tax ID number in Turkey (obtained via the Turkish tax office webpage)
• An invoice in your name where your registration address of residence appears
• Your latest paycheck
• Bank statement last 3 months (which proves the deposit of income)
• Copy of the title deed (Tapu) of the property in Turkey for which mortgage is applied for

All documents must be translated into Turkish by a licensed translator in Turkey.


Mortgage in Turkey:

• The maximum mortgage amount is 90% of the property’s assessed value
• The interest rate is fixed
• Mortgage for foreigners is granted in Euro, Dollar and Turkish Lira
• The credit period is from 1-10 years
• The applicant’s age is 25-60 years

The mortgage application is usually processed within three days. The bank sends out an independent expert who values the property. After the valuation, you will be notified if the mortgage application is approved.
